About CutterAgent

CutterAgent Design & Services was founded by Rob Green, a former Coast Guard lieutenant and Coast Guard Academy graduate based in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

In 2012, CutterAgent became a part of the Xpressions family of businesses, a DBA of Althof Enterprises, LLC.

With a business model relying on e-commerce technology, and production outsourcing, CutterAgent is able to quickly adjust to needs of Coast Guard clients nationwide. All design work and product developent is done in-house. By joining the Xpressions family, we brought our screen printing and embroidery jobs in-house, and draw upon our long-term relationships with other production houses to fulfill a wide variety of client requests.

CutterAgent began operations in 2004, and fills a unique niche -- serving the needs of smaller Coast Guard, NOAA, and Public Health Service units that couldn't meet the minimum requirements of other vendors. By negotiating on behalf of 180+ unit clients, We are able to get discounts and minimums for our clients that they woudn't be able to get on their own.

About CutterAgent's COO, Stephanie Althof

Stephanie Althof is the voice on the phone you'll hear most days at CutterAgent. She began her working career in the business side of the arts - as a marketing and development director for a professional theatre company - and has been growing along that track ever since.

In 2006, Stephanie and her family purchased Xpressions Screen Printing and Embroidery, and their relationship with CutterAgent and the Coast Guard began. Rob and Steph worked together to develop a system of management and production that made CutterAgent's apparel products unique in the marketplace.

In 2012, when a local business made Rob "an offer he couldn't refuse," the Althof Enterprises crew stepped forward and committed to carrying on the traditions of CutterAgent, bringing it under the roof of Xpressions as part of their brand new operations and production center in Cedar Falls.

About CutterAgent founder, Rob Green

Rob Green is a former Coast Guard officer and a lifelong artist.  After graduating from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in 1998 (B.S., Government) he spent six years on active duty as Operations Officer of USCGC SEDGE (WLB-402) in Homer, Alaska; as Admin Staff for the Assistant Commandant for Operations (G-O) at Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington, DC; and finally as Executive Officer of USCGC HICKORY (WLB-212) in Homer, Alaska.   His service awards include the Coast Guard Commendation Medal and Coast Guard Achievement Medal, as well as the Admiral Kramek Award for Inspirational Leadership.

After leaving Active Duty as a Lieutenant in 2004, Rob settled down with his family in Cedar Falls, Iowa (his wife's hometown) and started CutterAgent.com. Rob is married to Jocelyn (Falck) of Waterloo, Iowa, a professional freelance writer, editor, and author of Faith Deployed: Daily Encouragement for Military Wives.  They have two children, Elsa (born in 2006) and Ethan (born in 2008), as well as a pug.
